CCS DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
As a vine needs a trellis to bolster it and help it to flourish, our various ministries need someone to ensure practical, operational and logistical support so that they can keep taking the name of Jesus forward energetically and faithfully. Could you be that person?
Christ Church Southampton is an independent evangelical church affiliated to FIEC and Reach South. The church is a busy, happy and growing community, committed to evangelism, discipleship, training and regular church-planting.
With our current Operations Manager beginning a new venture, we are now looking for a new Director of Operations to begin December 2025 / January 2026.
What's the job? Among other things, you will...
- Oversee the church office, including line-management of office staff and trainees
- Manage the church premises and compliance regimes, ensuring best practice
- Support the Lead Pastor and the staff, finance and eldership teams
- Assist in the development of volunteers and volunteer teams across the church
- Take a leading role in major church projects

- A mature Christian who is serious about living for Jesus, 'gets' church and has a servant heart
- A self-starter with a flexible mind, good people skills, a solutions-oriented approach and some managerial experience
- A quick learner who loves a challenge and is happy to get into different types of projects and processes
- A planner who can get things started, plot a way through, make good decisions along the way and see them to the end
- A resilient operator, happy to work in a busy and dynamic environment
- A good communicator who can work well with the team and adapt well to different relational contexts
