We have been gathering together again physically as a whole church family for Safe Sunday Services since the beginning of September.

We meet at 9.45 and 11.30am at Cantell School

We can’t wait to see you there! Please read our safety procedures (below) carefully before attending.

  • Please arrive around 10-15 minutes before your gathering begins (ie 9.30 for 9.45 or 11.15 for 11.30) so that you are able to complete Test & Trace, sanitise your hands and be seated safely.
  • A full children's programme with multiple age-specific groups (for children aged 3-14) runs concurrently with the 9.45 gathering only. Children aged 3-11 should be dropped off at the main school reception at 9.30. Those aged 11-14 will remain in the gathering for a short time.
  • There's no need to book in ahead of time. We've arranged things to make sure we've got space for you.
  • That said, given current regulations regarding groups sizes for children, it would be helpful if to know if you are visiting (ie not a CCS regular) with children. Contact our Youth & Children's Pastor Liam if that's you.
  • Unless exempt (eg under-11s), you must wear a face covering when indoors (please note that a visor is not regarded as a face covering, under government rules).
  • You will be invited to participate in the NHS Test & Trace scheme. Regular church attenders will have their visits recorded on arrival. If you are visiting (ie if we don't already have your name and phone number) we will record these details using an iPad on the morning.  Your temperature will be checked with a contactless thermometer and you will have the opportunity to sanitise your hands. Alternatively we will also display the NHS QR code.
  • You will be directed to take a seat. If placed in a continuous row, please leave three empty seats between your household and the next group.
  • Those with young children who may need to use the breakout room (see below) can use the balcony area.

  • There will be no congregational singing, but we will have a live band. You can join in by humming or speaking the words.
  • Unfortunately it is not possible to interact with others around you during the gathering itself.

  • A table-service cafe operates after each gathering (10.45-11.45, 12.30-1.30). This is for anyone, whether they were at the gathering or not. You can of course leave immediately at the end of the gathering if you prefer.
  • You will be shown to a table (maximum 6 people). Please do not mingle with other groups. If seated in an outside area (the covered courtyard or the marquee), you may remove your face-covering once seated. Drinks will be brought to your table.
  • Students will be seated together and served a full lunch.
  • There is a small charge for refreshments (10p for drinks, £1 for meals) but these are waived for first-time visitors and payable at the end of term.
  • Tea & coffee will be available and served to you at your table, along with individually packaged biscuits. We are not currently providing drinks for children so please bring your own drink. You could of course bring your own Thermos as a family, alternatively.

  • Please do not attend if you or any of your household are showing common symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Except while children are in their groups, you must keep them with you at all times.
  • You will be aware of the 'rule of six'. Please do not meet in a group greater than six at any time on the site.
  • Toilets are available but these will be managed to ensure distancing.
  • Be assured that we have full cleaning procedures in place for the building, including in between the two gatherings.
  • The full risk assessments are available here.
  • Still got questions? Ask away!
