Throughout September we have been gathering together again as a whole church family for Safe Sunday Services.

Our usual venue is closed this Sunday 27th September: but please join us at 8.45, 10.15 or 11.45 for our morning gatherings at Burgess Road Library.

8.45am and 10.15am will have provision for those aged 3-8 and a breakout room for parents of younger children. The 11.45 this week is aimed at students, and students will be invited to join a group of six for lunch in the park following.

We can’t wait to see you there! Read on to see what you can expect.

  • Please arrive promptly 10 minutes before the scheduled start time (ie 8.35am, 10.05am, 11.35am) so that you are able to complete Test & Trace, sanitise your hands and be seated safely.
  • If you have children from pre-school age upwards, we will be operating provision for children during the 8.45am and 10.15am gathering. They will be dropped off at the bottom of the stairs to our socially distanced children’s rooms as you enter.
  • There's no need to book in ahead of time. We've arranged things to make sure we've got space for you.
  • Unless exempt (eg under-11s), you must wear a face covering when indoors (please note that a visor is not regarded as a face covering, under government rules).
  • You will be invited to participate in the NHS Test & Trace scheme. Regular church attenders will have their visits recorded on arrival. If you are visiting (ie if we don't already have your name and phone number) you can either print off a form in advance here,  or alternatively fill in a form that we provide on the morning.  Your temperature will be checked with a contactless thermometer and you will have the opportunity to sanitise your hands. Alternatively we will also display the NHS QR code.
  • You will be directed to take a seat in a row. Please ensure you leave three seats between your household and the next group.
  • Those with young children who may need to use the breakout room (see below) should use the room at the back of the main library.

  • There will be no congregational singing, but we will have a live band.
  • Unfortunately it is not possible to interact with others around you during the gathering.

  • Café Christ Church will not operate after the gathering this week and so we need to disperse swiftly after the gathering.
  • You may of course wish to make use of one of the green spaces nearby to meet in a fixed group of six with others, but please do not congregate outside the library building itself.

  • Please do not attend if you or any of your household are showing common symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Except while children are in their groups, you must keep them with you at all times.
  • You will be aware of the 'rule of six'. Therefore please do not meet in a group greater than six at any time on the site.
  • The disabled toilet will be available. Additional facilities are available upstairs.
  • Be assured that we have full cleaning procedures in place for the building.
  • The full risk assessments are available here.
  • Still got questions? Ask away!
