MY PLEDGE

Thanks for visiting the 'My Pledge' page. Here is where you get to indicate the part you are able to play in meeting the church's financial needs for the year ahead so that our ministries can keep flourishing and expanding to serve the cause of Christ.

Please note the form is confidential to the finance team. We ask EVERY partner of the church to fill it in regardless of the extent to which they are able to review their giving.

HOUSE PURCHASE

This summer we are looking to purchase a house where the Faux family can live and from which James Faux can conduct his leadership of the CCS student ministry.

The great news is: we've found what looks like the ideal house, located in Mead Crescent (a little family-friendly enclave near Wessex Halls). See pictures below. The challenge now is securing finance for it and completing the purchase in time for the Faux family to move in next month when they have to leave their current accommodation. Our offer was made and accepted on Thursday 5 May, so it's a tall order. But we have a great God!

The house has 4 bedrooms, a couple of options for study / office for James and some good spaces for hospitality. We think it could be an excellent option for future generations of CCS pastoral staff and in the long term should save the church financially too.

The house currently features some striking decor choices (watch out for the chance to join a painting party!) but appears to need little substantial work before the Faux family move in.

In order to keep CCS free of debt, the house and its mortgage will be held by our associated charity, the Christ Church Gospel Partners Fund (Charity no. 1150427) and leased to the church.

ONGOING MINISTRIES OF THE CHURCH AND BEYOND

We are delighted to be sending off a team to launch Trinity Church Salisbury this autumn. As they go, not only will we lose some wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ and servants of God; we will also start to phase their giving towards the new church. We rejoice in the opportunity to show this gospel generosity but this means part of our support of the new church involves stepping up as a church to replenish the financial resources we are sending to the new work in order to support the ministries of CCS fully.

WHAT ARE THE TARGETS?

REGULAR GIVING

We are aiming to increase regular giving by £2,000 per month in order to replenish the giving of those moving to Salisbury or elsewhere, address higher costs and continue to expand the effectiveness of our ministries, by 31 August.

one-off giving

The first cliff-edge of Salisbury-linked giving reduction occurs this September. Additionally our budget requires a certain level of one-off giving to balance the books. We need £15,000 in one-off gifts to the CCS general fund, by 31 August.

house deposit

CCGPF needs to put down a 30% deposit on the house (£120,000). £80,000 is available or pledged already (largely from external supporters). We now face the task as a church of finding £40,000 in one-off gifts for the deposit, by 5 June.
